It’ll never happen”, I hear you say! Well folks, Jason Slater is taking on Cancer Research’s UK Dryathlon challenge by giving up alcohol for the whole of January 2013! Aaaahhhh! Help me, already! I have no idea how I am going to survive without beer, vodka, beer, gin, beer, vino blanco, (did I mention the BEER?!) for a month so rather than relying on my will power alone I have decided to do it for charity; the guilt of failing the challenge and not raising any money will give me the motivation to see it through!

I’m doing this in memory of my dad, Gary, who sadly died of cancer when I was a teenager. He, like me, enjoyed a beer or two, so I’m sure he will be looking down on me in pity!
