Homelessness is something I experienced as a teenager for 2 years on the streets of Chicago.

For most people it is hard to imagine being homeless or hungry and without any support system. The best way to describe the feeling is...hopeless.

Margo and I have supported a charity called Centrepoint for several years. Centrepoint helps young people who are homeless with opportunities to develop their independent living skills, support them through physical and mental health problems and also open the gates to education, employment and/or training opportunities. They offer a lifeline to young people in a seemingly hopeless situation.

How would your donations help Centrepoint?

£15 could provide a young person with a comfy bed and give them a sound sleep! 
£40 could help physical and mental health assessments to be conducted with follow-up support solutions 
£65 could provide educational and employment means 
£250 could provide them with 365 days of accommodation and a Christmas dinner (seriously!) 

Therefore, for my 65th Birthday this year, the biggest gift anyone could give me and my lovely wife, Margo, would be any donations for Centrepoint as this charity is very close to our hearts. 

At an upcoming company event on October 29, 2021 we will be hosting an auction of which all the money will be donated to CentrePoint. Our employees will also be hosting a number of fundraising events (such as bake-offs, dress down Fridays etc.) to raise money! 

On a final note, the amount we reach will be matched by myself and Margo (i.e., if we raise £10k, Margo and I will donate the same amount - therefore we could raise £20k in total for Centrepoint)!
