Story
I need you to understand something important before you read on.
I am absolutely petrified of heights.
Not “slightly nervous”, not “but I’ll be fine once I’m up there”… proper, heart-in-mouth, why-am-I-like-this terrified.
And yet… here we are.
For Free Kicks Foundation, I’ve already climbed a mountain.
I’ve already run a half marathon.
Both pushed me way outside my comfort zone.
So naturally, the only logical next step was to jump out of a perfectly good aeroplane.
Free Kicks Foundation does incredible work supporting young people through football, education and opportunity, and it’s a cause very close to my heart. They change lives. They create futures. And if me facing one of my biggest fears helps even a little bit with that… then I’ll do it (while screaming internally and externally, VERY LOUD).
If you can spare anything at all to support them — and to motivate me not to back out — I’d be so grateful.
Thank you for backing the cause, backing the charity, and backing me as I take a deep breath and step into thin air.
You can do hard things… apparently including this one ✈️💛
