Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

So no excuses and backing out now! The aim is to complete a BE80 one day event before the end of 2017 season.

I have joined a group of 'Wobbleberries' around the country with the same aim. We are a group of wimpy riders whom  have never evented before and now have a reason to push ourselves a little more.

This is in aid of the Willberry Wonder Pony charity - in memory of Hannah Francis who sadly recently passed away. Hannah was an incredibly inspiring and brave young eventer, being only 17 years old when diagnosed with cancer and I would love to do just a little bit to try and support her Willberry Wonder Pony charity.

You can read about Hannah's story and the charity here : www.willberrywonderpony.org

So I have had a quiet aim to event for a long time now. Just it has never happened for me. As time has gone on I have realized it is a lot harder than others make it look! I was hoping to be far enough along in my riding by the end of next year to complete a BE80 anyway, so when this challenge popped up on my Facebook news feed I just figured.. why not? I can now also hopefully complete this whilst raising money for a wonderful charity and receiving help and support from a community of like minded people that are also aiming to complete this challenge. Hopefully also beating my riding confidence demons that hold me back most of the time! Jumping is meant to be FUN !!

Thank you for your donations and I will really work hard and try my best to see this challenge through to the very final hurdle.

About the charity

The Charity was established by talented horse rider, Hannah Francis, following her diagnosis with the aggressive form of bone cancer, osteosarcoma. People all over the world followed Hannah's story which she told through her mascot, Willberry. Tragically Hannah passed away at just 18 years old.
