We fund vital research to ensure effective treatments for all.

Story

Just over 30 years ago , when my wife Helen was 9 months old, she was diagnosed with Cystic Fibrosis (CF) and her parents were told that she was not expected to reach her 18th birthday.

One of the reasons she’s been able to lead a relatively normal life is due to advances in the treatment of CF.  However, the fact remains that CF is an incurable disease.  Every week, five babies are born with the disease and every week, three young lives will be lost to it.

Research into CF in the UK is funded by the Cystic Fibrosis Trust.  They are working to develop a cure that will one day allow these young people the same kind of life as everyone else.

In the past few years, with your support, I’ve raised over £2,500 for the Cystic Fibrosis Trust by running various Half Marathons.  Thank you.

This year I'm running the Bristol 10K in May, the Bristol Half Marathon on September and the Great north Run in October.

I am looking for your support.  Please give whatever you can and together we can make this disease a thing of the past.

Once again, thanks for your continued support.

Jon
