Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page. I've not had one before so I am being helped to learn all about it!
Because I am trying to raise money for the NHS, I've been asked to explain a bit about me and why....
I live in Rayleigh and am turning 78 this month! I'm being treated for my cancer at Southend Hospital. The NHS team have been so wonderful to me that I just can't thank them enough.
Now the wonderful people at the NHS are also putting their own lives on the line during this covid-19 pandemic. I feel really strongly about
the fact that they deserve everyone's support, and so I have decided to
do something to help raise more support for them.
I'm not a runner (can you tell???), and I'm probably not in the best of health right now...! But, I think I can just about run a mile a day (very slowly) in my back-garden until I have run a marathon.
I live alone since being widowed and am of course isolated at the moment like so many people. However, my family, friends and neighbours are all cheering me on and I'm blogging as I go (I've learnt what blogging is...)
Please follow me ans share and let's see what we can do. Let's hope I get to the end of this marathon!
Oh and I am now on Facebook : https://www.facebook.com/jim.edbrook.5
