We support people with Spinal Cord Injury to help them live full, independent lives

Story

I'm taking on the 2016 Aspire Channel Swim Challenge,  swimming the distance of the English Channel over 12 weeks to raise money for Aspire.  OK, in my local pool here in Albany, not in the real thing.  Actually my goal is 44 miles ~ cross the Channel and come back to the UK!  This challenge helps those people struggling with spinal injuries.

So, why is an American doing this channel swim for Aspire?  Simple answer.  I am doing this fund~raising challenge for a UK friend, Andrew.  He usually does this swim annually but this year faces a greater challenge ~ cancer and chemo.   So, I am "taking his place" this year.  Please, can you help, even in a small way?   Together we can make a difference in the lives of others.

Thank-You.

Every four hours someone in the UK is paralysed by a spinal cord injury. It can happen to anyone at any time and no one is prepared for how it will change their life. Aspire is a national charity that provides practical help, supporting spinal cord injured people from injury to independence.
