We fund projects to give our patients even better care

Story

Thank you for taking the time to visit my just giving page.

I am raising money for the NNUH Targeted Radiotherapy Appeal whos aim is to improve their cancer services for local patients.

The NNUH will be able to treat more cancer patients with a type of radiotherapy that reduces treatment times meaning patients can be treated closer to home.

Money raised for the TRA will be used to build dedicated facilites for brachytherapy. The service is currently available for cervical cancer but aims to offer to men with prostate cancer and in time for colon, oesophageal and lung cancer.

I started cycling to work 2 years ago which has turned into a hobby I really enjoy. Due to lack of confidence i originally planned to volunteer in assisting with the Paris ride, but out of curiosity I quickly decided I was ready to turn my hobby into my first cycling challenge.

The challenge is to cycle from Paris to Swindon across 3 days, totalling 210 miles in September. 19 cyclists have been confirmed and training has now begun. Donations no matter how small will make such a big difference.

Every day 8 women are diagnosed with cervical cancer - 112 men are diagnosed with prostate cancer.

1 in 3 of us will be affected by cancer in our lives.

 Please spread the word!
