We fight for the hope of young people to create a society built for all children

Story

It has been a few years since we had our last aberration of madness to do something for charity, but the bug has returned and hit us with a vengeance!

This time, not just content with climbing 3 peaks, we are putting ourselves through complete torture to climb 24 peaks in 24 hours - encompassing all the main mountains in the lake district over 2400 feet.

Yes, we have checked and yes we - Andrew Daymond, Matt Davies, Nick Forsyth , Paul Wintersgill, Jane Pritchard and I - have been diagnosed as completely mad.

So, what do we need to spur us on and make our task a success?

Well, we are working with the Children's Society a charity, which, for over 40 years has helped in turning around the lives of children who might otherwise 'go off the rails' without support.

In their important work they organise school support groups, children's centres and mentoring services and have been successful in giving many kids the chance of a new start in life.

The website can be found at www.childrenssociety.org.uk if you need any further convincing.

So, it would really give us the incentive we need to drag ourselves up those hills if you were able to support us and help them in their valuable work.

This is a great opportunity to participate financially and get rid of us for two days - just think of the peace and quiet you'll get from the phone!

We do also appreciate that we are in tough financial times, which makes it even more important that we raise as much as we can for them in their time of need and £250 will go a long way towards our fundraising target, which JLT's charities committee have generously promised they will match.

Thank you in anticipation of your support - if you need any more information or would like to talk through with one of the team, please feel free to give us a call.

With kind regards

Steve Pike
