We fund bone cancer research & grant wishes to seriously ill people #makingmemories

Story

So, some people have a mid life crisis and buy a flash car to get an adrenalin rush... me , I decide foolishly to challenge myself to completing a BE80 One Day Event!

The challenge comprises of a  three phase competition all completed on the same day.

Firstly a dressage test ( conducted entirely from memory) not an easy challenge for those of us past 45! A round of show jumping, scary but not to fast , hopefully! Lastly, a cross country section, consisting of natural solid obstacles including, ditches, walls and hedges, whilst going at speed!

For someone who hasn't jumped a xc course, or gone faster than a sensible pace for over 20 years the thought is terrifying!!

Definition of a 'Wobbleberry' (taken from www.wobbleberries.com)

A shy, elusive creature, the Wobbleberries natural habitat is spectating at BE events supporting other riders.

  • Key Characteristics

Currently not fit enough to get round a xc course.

Currently not brave enough to get round a xc course.

Should know better and know that it will hurt!

Dedicated to raising money, training and conquering the fear.

Supportive of each other- aiming to be webble-esque, ''we wobble, but we don't fall down''.

Hannah's Wilberry Wonder Pony charity, fundraises to fight cancer and grant horsey wishes to seriously ill people and their families. The charity was set up by 18 year old Hannah Francis who lost her battle to bone cancer in August 2016.

I hope you will be able to help me reach my fundraising goal of £500.
