Story

Firstly welcome to our page!  Before we start you are in the right place to support Ed Wells, Luci & Will Neville and their fellow cyclists.

You've arrived here because we are fundraising for a brilliant cause; Kyangala Trust.  It is a charity extremely close to our hearts and you can read more about our charity on our website www.kyangala-trust.org.uk

So why are we cycling 984 miles in 14 days- the truth is we don't really know!  It all gathered pace rather quickly and before we knew it we had planned the route, booked accommodation and pulled a team together, the point of no return had been crossed!

Cycling is pretty easy right?!

Actually NO! We aim to cycle between 60-80 miles a day for 14 consecutive days, at an average speed of 13-15 miles per hour.  According to active.com research, if you were to convert that equivalent effort into running, it would be the same as completing a marathon a day, so effectively we are completing a marathon every day for 14 days......... gulp!

From the training completed to date, we have a very good understanding of how deep we are going to need to dig.  Every website we turn to for advice and reassurance highlights the reality of how tough this is going to be.  However, the pain we will endure pales into insignificance when comparing with the lives of those living in Kyangala.  The knowledge that we will be raising funds to help these people will be an amazing motivation  to us all.

Your hard earned pounds and kindly donated money will go towards building a new girls school in the village of Kyangala.

By donating, you are doing something wonderful and we thank you for your support.
