We support and empower people to improve mental health and wellbeing

Story

Hi. I'm John, I'm 38 and I'm a Yorkshire lad - born and bred.

I live in Cayton with my fiancee and 9 year old daughter. I love mountain biking in and around Yorkshire, and for some reason, I have just started running!!

The purpose of my fundraising for Scarborough, Whitby and Ryedale Mind is because I have suffered with depression in the past and there is still stigma attached to having a mental health problem. People are embarrassed by it, and they should not be. It's just another illness that anyone on the planet can have, no matter who you are!

I didn't hide the fact that I was suffering from depression and I was amazed at the support I received from family and friends and also how many of my friends had also been in the same dark place. So, I encourage anyone going through the same, to talk to someone about it. It really does help! This is why I want to support Scarborough, Whitby and Ryedale Mind and I hope that you will support me with this Skydive. By the way....did I mention that I'm petrified of heights!!!!!
