Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving - they'll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they'll send your money directly to the charity. So it's the most efficient way to donate - saving time and cutting costs for the charity.I'm doing this challenge for two reasons . Firstly I'm 50 years old this year and rather than have a surprise party , or a nice getaway holiday I wanted to do something worthwhile and memorable.  What can be more memorable than finishing a gruelling challenge under the eiffel  tower in Paris.  It's certainly not going to be easy for me as I'm hardy a cycling enthusiast.  I've previously raced twice before : 81miles and 67 miles but it's safe to say this will be my hardest challenge yet . The second reason is to raise money for a charity which is doing wonderfull , amazing work in trying to eradicate this horrible disease. So many inroads have been made and many breakthroughs achieved recently that provide great hope for the future . Imagein growing old but not even recognising your family , your children or loved ones . Being totally alone locked into your own unfamiliar world . That's why I want to help . If you can donate any amount large or small I would be very very humbly appreciative.  I know there are many charities vying for your attention so even if you have read this far then I thank you at least for that . All of your help is very appreciated.  Thank you
