We lost uncle John earlier this year after a relatively short battle with cancer. He generously left me his bike (with pedals, not the motor bike in the photo!) and rather than let it sit, I'm trying to honor him by using it for some good. 

Two people kept john going, his wife and my auntie, Bev not letting him sit (and also not letting him do the other extremes like tile a shed roof!). The second was Matilda, John's new granddaughter. I imagine getting to see her first Christmas was a huge motivator. 

Matilda and being a parent myself is definitely an influence in choice of the charity we are supporting.
