Thank you for visiting my Just Giving page, starting from the 1st January 2021, I aim to complete 50 mountains over the year, including the 3 peaks challenge.

Me and my brother Chris were in the Irish Guards and deployed to Afghanistan together in 2010, 6 weeks into the tour, on the 17th November, Chris was shot and killed whilst on patrol. After coming home for a few weeks, I returned to Afghan and went on to do another tour of the place. Staying busy and the lads I had around me helped keep me sane, but a lot of veterans don’t have this sort of support and struggle with a wide range of problems whilst still serving and even more so once they’ve left which is why I’ve chosen Veterans Lifeline as my chosen charity as they do amazing work helping as many veterans as they can. I’ve always wanted to do something in Chris’ name but always managed to find some reason or excuse not to, I wanted to start on his anniversary but lockdown prevented this. I’m no athlete and certainly no expert on mountains so this will surely be challenging for me. Any help will be greatly appreciated whether it be donating, fitness/mountain advice or even joining me on one of the mountains.
