Story
My charity challenges for 2018 have given me so many emotions, each one I will remember with such joy and cherish. Just one more challenge to go now! I hope you're able to continue being part of my journey and help in whatever way you can. Your generosity so far has been invaluable!
Now, I work in PR and have represented the Gorilla Organization for two of their 'Great Gorilla Run' events and I've learned to love gorillas and truly believe they need to be preserved. It's shocking to hear that gorillas are considered endangered.
Believe it or not, my first phobia was of gorillas (I don't think those at the Gorilla Organization who know me, knew this about me!), and my outlook on these wonderful primates is completely transformed. Did you know, over 95% of their DNA is shared with a human's? There are less than 1,000 gorillas in the world, let's raise money together so we can prevent extinction.
Originally, I was going to partake in the charity's annual Great Gorilla Run. However, as I am attending a wedding in a different part of the country that weekend, I've decided to do an event of my own and take part in a Go Ape treetops adventure. This will take place in Crawley, West Sussex on Saturday 20th October. And yes, I will be doing so dressed as a gorilla.
For those who know me, climbing frames and doing anything with heights is something I'd never like doing. Yet this is exactly why I'm doing this. I have bought places for others who may also interested in doing this with me. Please get in touch if you'd like to take part with me. I'll add names who are participating on this page!
