Story

I will be taking part in a White Collar Boxing Fight, on Friday 28th Sept @ 6pm – 11pm. Bowlers Exhibition Centre. (Tickets £25each)
Why you may ask? Because I’m CRAZY ….A number of reasons really. I wanted to experience the whole event, the 8 wks of intense training, seeing exactly what my mind & body is capable of. It’s not about the winning for me (believe it or not), it’s about being put out of my comfort zone, pushing my anxiety to another level. I would also like to raise money for a charity that is very close to a special friend of mine, as her daughter Molly has been diagnose with Addison’s disease.
What is Addison’s disease? AD can affect people in many different ways, my friends daughter Molly is 14yrs of age, who suffers with muscle weakness, pain, headaches, exhaustion, lack of concentration, anaemia, is unable to get through a full wk of school without needing time off, as well as her body not being able to control its own temperature, these are just a few of the symptom’s.
Molly is 1 of 8 in her age group, there are 400 people in the whole of the UK with this condition.
Molly’s family was determined to keep on at the medical professions to find out what was going on with their child, who is now undergoing tests & receiving medication, Molly and her family are lucky that Molly is still here, as many children, adults lose their life through misdiagnosis in the lack of education in the medical professions. Therefore I would like to raise awareness of this condition.
