I am taking part in the 9-mile Livery Hall Walk for Cordwainers Charities because I want to raise money for the Alzheimer's Society

Cordwainers Charities

The Master's charity for 2018/19 is the Alzheimer's Society. Each year the Master Cordwainer chooses a charity which members fundraise for. We also support footwear education, the Royal Society for Blind Children, the Royal Regiment of Fusiliers, the Royal Free Hospital and almshouses.

Charity Registration No. 266073

Story

I would be most grateful for your charitable support in my quest to walk the 9-mile Masters’ Walk on Thursday 6th September around the City Livery Halls. The Cordwainers have participated in this traditional event for several years now, and as the new Master I am keen to maintain the tradition.

Clad in gown and bonnet (and my best Cordwainer footwear), I will visit 40 Livery Halls along the route (perhaps enjoying some of their hospitality) whilst raising funds for the great work of the Alzheimer's Society, the UK’s leading dementia charity.

With two new knees I am feeling a little nervous, and any donation - however small - would be greatly appreciated and will certainly help relieve the pain of the walk.

Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Once you donate, they'll send your money directly to the charity. So it's the most efficient way to donate - saving time and cutting costs for the charity.
