Thank you so much for visiting my JustGiving page, and taking the time to read our story and experience with the fantastic charity, Tommy's. 

So here goes...

On December 15th we found out that Charlotte was pregnant. After a few more pregnancy tests (3) and a few tears of joy, we started planning the next few months and how we would go about things. With the timing, and realisation that we were going to Gooch and Diane's for Christmas dinner, we had to tell our parents the news and pre warn them as to why Charlotte would not be consuming copious amounts of Champagne over the festive period. 

Christmas went by without a hitch and I drank enough booze to pickle us both...

Unfortunately, the same could not be said about New Year's Eve. 

After having our first Christmas as a married couple, celebrating with friends and family, Charlotte woke me up on New Years Eve morning to the news that she was miscarrying. The news was confirmed to us at Sunderland Royal Hospital but we felt that we did not receive any support or guidance on what to do next and simply, why it happened. 

After looking online for information we came across Tommy's and their information, help and support was invaluable. What I would like to do is raise awareness of what fantastic work they do and support a charity that is close to our hearts. 

So. Get your hand in your pocket and please donate to Tommy's. I will be trying to beat my time in the 2017 GNR which was a rapid 3 hours 10 minutes and let's raise a serious amount of cash for this fantastic charity. 

UPDATE  I WILL BE DOING A 100mi BIKE RIDE INSTEAD OF THE GNR
