Story

800 miles, one brutal mountain range, plenty of gratuitous lycra, a drop of French vino and one very sore arse. Yes, I've lost my sanity and signed up to cycle from Switzerland to Norfolk.

The reason for this leg sapping marathon from 6th to 15 September is to raise money and awareness for an amazing cause called Walking with the Wounded - a charity which is dedicated to re-training the incredible servicemen and women who have been injured while serving for this country. To read more about the adventure and my training visit  http://chafingforcharity.blogspot.com/.

As those who know me well, you'll be well aware that I'm no athlete - an armchair athelte yes but the last time I did any type of exercise was to get to the pizza takeaway before it shut. So this really is going to be an amazing challenge and I've got just four weeks to get fit.

It's going to be brutal, but hopefully fun along the way. Most importantly of all though we'll be raising much needed money to help injured service personnel make the transition to civilian life and earn a livng for themselves and their families.

Any donation you can make would be hugely gratefully received.
