On Sunday 17th June I will set off from Middle Row (the house where I was born in February 1936) and walk over the fells to Brathay Hall, home of Brathay Trust.
The route I'll follow is: Middle Row - Burnmoor Tarn - Woolpack Inn (Eskdale) - Penny Hill - Grassguards - Wallowbarow - Newfield Inn (Seathwaite) - Walna Scar - Coniston Coppermines - Tilberthwaite - Three Shires Inn (Little Langdale) - The Britannia Inn (Elterwater) - Loughrigg Tarn - Loughrigg - Brathay Hall....about 30 miles & 6,000 ft of climbing.
You're very welcome to join me on the fells for all or part of the route (I'll put a planned schedule on the BrathayChallenges website soon). Or, you might want to support at one of the pubs I'll be passing (Eskdale, Seathwaite, Little Langdale and Elterwater).
I will be having a celebration dinner at Brathay Hall in the evening. Tickets to join us will be available on the BrathayChallenges website soon.
Thank you for supporting me and helping to change the lives of some of our most disadvantaged young people.
