Story

YouThanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

Mark, Natalie and Doc (David) have decided to take part in the Barcelona Half Marathon on the 10 February 2019.

You will see below that each of them is running for a different charity and none of us is expecting you to donate to each one. Please choose a charity that you wish to support, they have all helped the family in a massive way so any donation  to them will be greatly received. We as a family value all your support whatever you do.

I have tried to do a page with all three charities on but even with my whiz kid know how on computers I am not able to get round the fact that it’s not possible.

Now for the reason behind this page.

The run takes place the day before what would of been Adams 33rd birthday, and we thought that it was an opportunity to give something back to the charities that have helped us and celebrate Adams birthday in a special way.

The charities that we are supporting are Rugby League Benevolent Fund, British Heart Foundation, and CRY.

The Rugby League Benevolent Fund were then for us from the beginning. They provided support and guidance at a very difficult time.

British Heart Foundation this is a charity that we feel whould help from funds to continue the good work that they are already doing, as Adam cause of death was heart failure.

CRY is a charity supporting families of young people that have died due to cardiac arrest (Cardiac Risk in the Young) and raises awareness of SADS (Sudden Adult Death Syndrome). they have been a great sourse of comfort to me and Doc over the last few months and again research into what can be done so that our parents do not have to go through the loss of a child.

Mark is running for the British Heart Foundation , Natalie is running for CRY and Doc is running for the Rugby League Benevolent Fund.

Each week at least twelve young people in the UK die suddenly as a result of undiagnosed heart conditions. At Cardiac Risk In the Young we aim to save young lives & to help those affected by the sudden cardiac death. We do this by providing support, information & screening those affected.
