Hello - Thanks for visiting my JustGiving page. 

I am running 12 marathons, including 2 ultra marathons, throughout 2022, raising money for the British Heart Foundation and I'd be hugely grateful for your support.

My youngest daughter Mabel was born with a particularly rare congenital heart defect called scimitar syndrome.  Scimitar syndrome is characterised by partial or complete anomalous pulmonary venous drainage to the inferior vena cava.  At 6 years old, Mabel underwent open heart surgery at Bristol Children's Hospital.  Mabel is 13 years old now and still has annual appointments with her cardiologist and respiratory consultant at the University Hospital of Wales.  The treatment, care, support and reassurance Mabel has received from healthcare staff, domestics through to consultants, has been truly wonderful.

Each day, around 13 babies in the UK are diagnosed with congenital heart conditions like Mabel's.  British Heart Foundation funds research into finding crucial breakthroughs and revolutionising the ways in which these conditions are diagnosed and treated.  This  research enables children like Mabel to flourish and live full meaningful lives.

Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, charities like the British Heart Foundation have struggled.  The challenge is self funded - It's simply me trying to help and do my own little bit.

Bath: Two Tunnels Marathon.

October 2022:  

London Marathon.

November 2022:  

Istanbul Marathon.

December 2022:  

Lanzarote Marathon.
