Story

Why Helen Arkell?

Helen Arkell is a really important charity providing dyslexia support. Which is particularly close to my heart, as two of my eldest children both suffer from dyslexia to varying degrees.

Why the Marathon (don't you have knobbly knee's Jude?)

Firstly, I have the personal goal of completing the London Classics and entering their "Hall of Fame" - that's finishing all three of the greatest mass participation events in London 1) London Ride 100 (done twice!) , 2) Swim Serpentine (done twice!) and lastly....the London Marathon (last on the list hopefully...).

Secondarily, it is more than just a Marathon challenge for me, as I have various knee and joint issues which will do their best to inhibit my finish - so here's to "having a go". As a result I'm going to walk it in 6-7 hours, ideally 6 hours.

Thanks for looking, and feel free to donate whatever you feel you can afford.

Good luck to all those taking part in 2018!

Jude
