On the 22nd April 2018 I'll be taking part in the Virgin Money London Marathon to raise monies for Cancer Research UK.

I'll be training hard for the event throughout the winter to complete my first marathon attempt, and my first ever long distance run.  It will be hard work, with several hours every week on training.
 
I'm not aiming for a particular time; just  to complete the course in some form be that run, walk, even skip (!) and have some fun at the same time.  I might even make it onto the BBC coverage in the process ;-)

Cancer Research UK are working hard to beat cancer, to find cures and to find kinder treatments.  Members of my family, and friends have been directly impacted by cancer and this is my contribution to finding a way to beat it in the long term. 

Any contributions, no matter how big and small, are greatly appreciated.  Thank you for your support xx
