I dedicate this donation page to my mother but also to everyone in this world, that lost a loved one and is dealing with grief.

It took me a long time and still I am in the process of dealing with the death of my mother. In the beginning, I was in the phase of denial for a long time and I barely opened up to people about what happened. Even after realizing the truth, my mind was still in denial and pushed away all kinds of thoughts to deal with her death. Later on, I had professional help supporting my grieving process, but something that helped me the most was to share my experience with others that went through a similar process. There are many people in the world that have lost a loved one through cancer and talking about your emotions helps to deal with your feelings and to let your grief exist and not take you completely over.

I chose the Loss Foundation because I support their cause by creating events and possibilities for everyone that is in this position to share their story and find people that they can talk to and be part of a community where you feel understood. Grieving on your own can damage you in the long run and if you feel there is no safe space in your personal life to let all your emotions out, this is the perfect spot for you to be yourself and grieve.
