On the 5th May 2013, myself and other fellow team members took part in a sponsored 14,500ft Skydive for 'JumpforWater'. This may sound mad but it was all done to raise funds and awareness to help build water projects in Africa.  We managed to raise a massive £16,322.75 and now i am back to complete my second challange.

For my second challenge, I will be bungee jumping. 

You may not be aware but even in today’s modern day; around 884 million people lack access to clean and safe water worldwide, costing the lives of 5,000 children EVERY DAY. That's the equivalent to 1.62 million children EVERY YEAR, with one child dying EVERY 15 SECONDS!!!!

Just take a brief moment and think about how readily available clean water is for us by simply turning on a tap and how often we use it in just an average morning. In many cases, we not only waste and take for granted this gift of clean water, but we use unsparingly without batting an eyelid, whereas millions are dying due to lack of basic drinking water!

We believe it is OUR responsibility to help those around the world and with YOUR help,  we hope to raise enough funds to help build WELLS, HAND-PUMPS, ROPE PUMPS and improve the OVERALL WATER HYGIENE and SANITATION in many areas across Africa. Our target is to raise £20,000 and you can help us reach our target!

* 1.8 million children die every year from diarrhoea caused by unclean water and poor sanitation. That’s 5,000 child deaths a day or one child every 15 seconds. (UNICEF)

* The water and sanitation crisis claims more lives through disease than any war claims through guns. (UNDHP)

* Nearly 1 out of every 5 deaths under the age of 5 worldwide is due to a water-related disease
