Among other things, they place emphasis on reducing future vulnerability and increasing resilience. Please see the following link to their approach to disaster recovery:IDV have been working in remote hard-to-reach areas and under-served locations, working with local partners and communities to continue meeting immediate and medium term needs and, very importantly, assessing how IDV could support the long-term, sustainable recovery of earthquake affected communities.
