Story

Over 20 days from Sunday 5th June 2011 Justin, Mark and Rob will cycle over 1000 miles from Lands End in Cornwall, the southern most point in the UK, to John O’Groat’s in Scotland, the UK's furthest northern point.

We are doing this ride in memory of one of Justin’s close friends Matthew "Vince" Coates who tragically died at Christmas. Matt was diagnosed with cancer in September 2009; however he refused to accept his fate and fought the illness with all his strength. Sadly he lost his battle with cancer on December 15th last year.

In honour of Matt’s courage we aim to raise money for Macmillan Cancer Care. We have chosen Macmillan as they looked after Matt when he was at his most ill. One in three of us will get cancer in our life time, in addition it's likely we will all be affected in some way by the disease. To find out more about the work that MacMillan does please look at the following website http://www.facebook.com/l/52ebb8y77oPchj7NcKWULDJ0Epg/www.macmillan.org.uk/Home.aspx.

We are asking you to sponsor our ride by giving whatever you can to help Macmillan Cancer Care carry on their fantastic work.

Thanks in advance for your support.

Justin McCormick, Mark Wragg and Rob Mitchell
