...But you could save JustGiving's 5% fee and donate directly to 20-08-44 40442259 (or use PayPal, at https://www.paypal.me/Kamalashila) -- though note that on JustGiving UK taxpayers can increase donations by 25% using GiftAid. I'll update any direct donations manually on this page.
By the way, Standing Orders are especially welcome!
My contribution to the world is in teaching, practising, writing and other Dharma activities. I've been teaching all my adult life, I don't plan to stop, and I don't charge (though institutions may charge independently). I love the way it brings me into contact with many people, like you.
So if you have appreciated what I do, please help me continue. What do I need? Well, I'll be 68 in April which gets me a freedom pass and £40.50 state pension. Living lightly ( I don't have a car) costs me £9000 a year. This goes on rent, gas, electricity, council tax, internet, phone, clothes, teeth, glasses etc. and it's pretty good for London. Of this, about £7,000 has to come from dana. I can only manage to maintain a savings buffer of £2-3000, so I need to be careful.
My health is still more or less OK. Arthritis is now added to the mix but I'm pretty active and hope to continue teaching for many years to come. I also serve as a member of the Triratna Preceptors College where I work on issues like new practices, meditation and dharma study. At times I lead retreats and study groups in UK, USA and in Europe, teach meditation, give talks, write and see a lot of people. I'm KS Kamalashila on Facebook and my email is email@example.com. Nowadays I teach a lot (including morning meditation from 7:30am, do come) at the West London Buddhist Centre. You can find out more from my site dharmadoor.org as well as the WLBC website.
Over the spring I'm planning to do some more writing -- one new book, I hope, and some updates to the one you probably know already.
Can you help support me? Small or large, it's all helpful.
