We work towards freedom from domestic abuse to improve the lives of young people

Charity Registration No. 1114005

Many of our friends and family are convinced we are having a mid-life crisis as we attempt to take on a gruelling all day fitness event on Saturday October 4th as team "Go Bananas".

Along with 500 other people we will be participating in five challenges throughout the day.  These include 20 minutes of flipping 200kg tractor tyres, repeatedly deadlifting a 10 stone weight and carrying 20kg buckets of sand for 30 metres at a time.  And then there is an assault course, bleep test and a whole lot of burpees to boot.  You gain points for each event resulting in an overall ranking at the end of the day.  But for two middle aged Mums completing it will be achievement enough!  Find out more about the event at and
Many of you have shown an interest in what we are doing and we would like you to support us by helping us raise money for a really valuable local cause.  The charity Survive offers practical and emotional support, accommodation, information and education for women, children and young people who are experiencing or have experienced domestic violence and abuse.
To give you an idea of what your donation would mean:
• £5 pays for a welcome box for a child coming into refuge
• £10 pays for a woman to attend a group session to support her recovery
• £15 pays to keep the Survive helpline open for a day
• £20 provides a room for a family fleeing domestic violence for one night
