We fund research into SMA to help find a cure and treatments

Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

As you may already be aware, my daughter Isabel who is 4, was diagnosed with Spinal muscular atrophy at 16 months old- this is a rare- genetic life limiting muscle wasting condition that is robbing her of her physical abilities! Isabel has never been able to crawl, stand or walk. Eventually this conditon will affect her sitting, movement, eating and breathing. Time is not on Isabels or all the Sma warriors side, they are fighting everyday to keep the little bit of strength that they have- they deserve the chance to lift a cup, brush their teeth, comb their hair, we need a cure!!!!!!

I will be running the Bath half along with 10 other people who are all fighting for our SMA warriors. Last year i ran this very race as my first ever half marathon and every step was difficult but i pushed myself because that's what Isabel does daily- she pushes with all her might to do the impossible! So surely i can run 13 miles. This year however will be a little different as i will not be running alone- i will be thinking of her at everystep and also carrying Isabels baby brother or sister who will be due in July.

Thank you for taking the time to read my story, any donation no matter how small will go such along to help all those currently affected by SMA and all the future SMA children. We will SMAsh SMA and find a cure!!!
