Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page

Sam was diagnosed in January with high risk neuroblastoma, a highly agressive form of childhood cancer. To give Sam the best chance of beating neuroblastoma for good, his Oncologist has recommended an immunotherapy treatment trialled in America and proven to increase chance of survival by 20%. However, this particular treatment is not available in the UK. The proposed treatment and associated costs of over £250,000 will not be funded by the NHS which is why Sam desperately needs all our help.

Sam goes to my Son's nursery and his diagnosis affected everyone there. I know if it affected my family, I would want people to help me help my child to have the best chance of beating this terrible disease. So please, if you can, sponsor me on my page here, of which all the money will go to Sam's Appeal.

I am doing a 2km Swim Challenge on 8th April at Darwen Leisure Centre, with my friend Anna, her Son also attends the same nursery. I can swim but it has been a long time since i have done any swimming other than recreational. I wanted to do something that would challenge me and hopefully help me to raise as much money as possible for Sam.
