I'm putting my body through hell this week during Savvy Survivor in order to raise funds for the Disability Trust.

With your help you can help me and the Green Tribe raise important money to help build a respite house for families in the Illawarra/Shoalhaven.

There is an urgent need for short term accommodation for children and teenagers with disabilities in the Illawarra and Shoalhaven. The Disability Trust is working to meet this need by constructing a Short Stay Respite House for children and teenagers with a disability in Dapto. The new house will assist families of children and teenagers with disabilities to have a short break from their parents/carers and spend valuable time in a fun, safe and supportive environment with other children their own age.

The Short Stay Accommodation House will create a support hub for the service users to acquire life skills and maximise their potential while at the same time providing breaks for families which are so important in sustaining long term quality relationships.

The house will provide a flexible space for respite, therapy and recreational activities for children and teenagers with various types of disabilities.
