DWED

Not only are those who have type one diabetes at twice the risk of developing anorexia or bulimia, as many as 40% of 15 – 30 y/os omit insulin. This practice can result in organ failure, infertility, blindness and in the worst cases, death. DWED aims to put a stop to ignorance and mistreatment

About Diabetics With Eating Disorders (DWED)

DWED is an incredible charity i've had the absolute pleasure of working with over the last year or so. Founded by a service user who was fed up of poor treatment, outcomes and a lack of awareness, DWED supports people with Type 1 Diabetes and Eating Disorders. They survive on next to no funding and are absolutely driven by passion, doing this walk in their name is the least I can do for them.

You can also to donate to them here: http://www.dwed.org.uk/donate
