Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

As most people know both of us have done a bit of triathlon over the years, with Kate doing serval more challenging events, but neither of us have done anything on this scale. Kate has been in training for just over 6 months, where as Steph has taken a last minute place with only 6 weeks to train, so The Long Windy One will defiantly be a challenge.

Taking place across 4-days to raise awareness for the John Van Geest Cancer Research Centre. Starting on Thursday 21st September we will swim 5km in Lake Windermere, then on Friday we will cycle from Windermere to Hathersage, and on Friday from Hathersage to Nottingham Embankment. Finally on Sunday 24th September we will run the Ikano Robin Hood Marathon.

Doing this event for such a worthwhile cause, with 100% of the money raised going to help with life saving cancer research and doing it surrounded by friends and fellow athletes makes it all worth the challenge
