Story
Several members of the Acton and Nott families have decided to team up to take on The Three Peaks in memory of Brigette Acton.
After struggling with the torment of depression for the last few years, Brigette tragically took her own life in March 2019.
Brigette was the most loved Mother, Wife, Daughter, Sister, Sister in law, Auntie & Friend.
Her loss has caused the worst imaginable devastation to our family so we would like to raise money for two amazing charities in her memory - Pete's Dragons & MIND.
For those that don't know, MIND are a mental health charity with a goal to make sure no one has to face a mental health problem alone. We couldn't agree more that increased awareness and additional support is required to make sure there aren't any more tragic stories like this one.
Pete's Dragons are a suicide bereavement charity who help people living through the tragedy and devastation of a loved ones suicide. They have helped and supported our family in our time of need and we hope we can raise some vital funds so they can continue to help others in the same way.
Links to both charities are below so please help in any way you can. All donations and support will be hugely appreciated by the Nott and Acton families and hopefully the countless others the money will help.
The Three Peaks challenge is an event in which participants attempt to climb the three tallest mountains, in England, Scotland & Wales. These mountains are Scafell Pike in England, Ben Nevis in Scotland & Mount Snowdon in Wales. We will be carrying out this challenge on the weekend of the 19th October.
