We reward excellence in chemistry education to encourage tomorrow's chemists today

Story

The Salters' Institute provides chemistry education to young people all over the UK, inspiring the next generation.

The Institute is 100 years old in 2018 and what better way of celebrating than throwing oneself off some massive scaffolding attached to a wire?

About the charity

The Salters’ Institute, founded in 1918, is one of the country’s leaders in the field of chemistry education. It aims to promote the appreciation of chemistry and related sciences among the young, and to encourage careers in the teaching of chemistry and in the UK chemical and allied industries.
