NO ENTRIES WILL BE ACCEPTED ON THE DAY

Deadline Day is 25th December 2018.

On the last bank holiday of 2018, I lost a very close friend; John Eccles.  John had a short battle with cancer and sadly passed on his birthday. He was a friendly, kind, gentle man, who was always smiling and had time for all.  I was proud to call him a friend!  You can count true friends on 1 hand and he was most definitely one of them.

In his memory I've decided to do something positive and organise a Darts Event and Prize Draw.  The event will be called 'The Eccy Knockout' and will be held on the 29th December 2018 at the Indian Community Centre.  A hall has been hired with a capacity of 200 people and I've arranged for some free standing dartboards. The venue will be decorated and will be one to remember.

All monies raised will go to Midlands Air Ambulance, which is a charity close to Johns heart.

Why am I doing this: he was one of those likeable characters and a true friend.  The aim is to bring people together, celebrate his life and remember the good times.  John would have loved the idea; but not appreciated his face plastered everywhere (which makes it all the funnier) This was the sort of relationship we had!

People say life goes on and time is a healer, but l'll never forget the good times and miss the youngman.

** Prize Draw Tickets are £10 each - please add to JustGiving link **

500 tickets have been printed and I'd love to sell them all!

Whether you can join me or not, please support me by buying at least a ticket. Every £10, will get you a ticket which can be sent electronically.

Entering the Competition: -  2 tickets are required to enter the darts competition, please add the funds to the Just Giving Page & then make contact on 07931 223885 or katen180mistry@gmail.com

Every £10 will get you a prize draw ticket, so rest assured you'll have a chance of winning a prize.

On the 24th November 2018 I changed entry to 2 ticket purhcases, as we already have 70 players.  Most of these entrants had already bought 2 tickets already, so this isn't an issue.

Contact me to secure your place by text, email, what's app or messenger

I will confirm your entrance once you've been in touch.

My employers HSBC UK will send £1000 to MAAC, through a work based scheme of £4£, direct to Midlands Air Ambulance.

Darts Knockout further info:-

It a Darts Doubles Knockout and your partner will be drawn from 1 of 2 pots.

Pot A

Pot B

Names will be put in order of seed and top seeds go into pot A the rest will be in pot B.

Eccy loved playing doubles and partnered me on many occasion and loved playing 3 games. (Some will understand this joke) 😂😂 🙈.

Sometimes we won, sometimes we lost. But most of all we enjoyed each others company, drinks, the banter and chuck.

Your partner will be drawn at random, from the pot your not in.

My aim is to bring people together and celebrate his life, whilst raising money for a good cause.

Winners and Runners-up will get trophies and the overall Pairs Winners will get £50 cash each.  Kindly donated by Indian Community Centre.
