Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page. As people close to me know, I suffer from pernicious anaemia.(PA) Putting it simply, it means that I cannot absorb b12 naturally through diet so I have to have regular b12 injections otherwise i would end up dying.

It is very frustrating how many medical professionals are not that familiar with the condition resulting in many people being misdiagnosed and suffering.  I was lucky to have been diagnosed before too much permanent damage was done unlike many others.

I'm therefore raising money so we can raise awareness and make sure people in the future will get the correct treatment. I'm also doing it to put two fingers up against the condition and even though tough mudder will be more of a struggle for me than for someone without PA, unlike people who are misdiagnosed I am able to participate.

This charity helped me so much to make sure this was possible and continues to support me and help me understand the condition.

So please guys dig deep and help get some funds together so much more research can be carried out- the scary thing is you probably know someone other than me who has it or has a b12 deficiency but they unaware and are suffering.
