As many of you know I've been plodding around marathons for a few years now. I thought I'd better do something a bit special for marathon number 10 and so I decided to enter the iconic Two Oceans ultra marathon in Cape Town. Yep, an ultra - that's 35 miles (or 56 kilometres if you prefer) and it's hilly. Oh, and I have to get round within 7 hours. 

Niamh Marie was my good friend Leisha's niece. Sadly at 3 weeks old she was diagnosed with an inoperable brain tumour and she passed away at just 51 days old. Claire House Hospice did so much to support Niamh Marie and her parents James and Lucy,  during this devastating time, as well as helping create many happy memories. 

As a mum I can't begin to imagine how it feels to lose your baby and so I want to raise funds to help "Pay for a Day for Niamh Marie" so that Claire House can continue their amazing work.
