COSMIC charity supports the children’s and neonatal intensive care units at St Mary’s and Queen Charlottes Hospitals in London. They support patients and their families and enable dedicated teams to treat hundreds of babies and children in intensive care each year.

This year I have decided to take on the channel as part of a relay team, swimming 21 miles through currents, passing boats and hopefully not too many jellyfish! 

Having been on the receiving end of amazing care in hospitals as a child, I know just how important it is to have access to the treatment needed, outstanding doctors as well as support for the family too, without which I know my life would be very different today. Please help me take this opportunity to give back and help more children and their families in their time of need.

Money raised is used to:

• Buy state-of-the-art equipment for the Paediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) at St. Mary’s Hospital

• Fund groundbreaking research into life-threatening childhood diseases 

• Pay for training health professionals involved in paediatric intensive care support for families and staff

• Support families through one of the most difficult times in their life with one to one support, advice, counselling, accommodation for parents.
