Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit the Ride Everest JustGiving page.

In 24 Hours of cycling around  and around and around ( and around ) Brand's Hatch racing circuit I climbed the equivalent height of Everest from sea level, and  covered 379 miles, which ranked me as 6th soloist of the event's 300 competitors.   My challenge to myself raised money to assist the plight of those whose  challenges  in life seem so insurmountable that they feel suicidal.

In 2014 there were 6,109 suicides in the UK, of which 76%, or 4,623, were male, and suicide currently stands as the biggest single killer of men aged under 45 in this country.

Campaign Against Living Miserably (CALM) is an award-winning charity dedicated to preventing male suicide.

So I Kept CALM and Cycled Everest!
