Story

On Saturday the 5th December 2015 at St Marys Old Boys RUFC I broke my neck playing the sport I love.

Since then the support I have received from the Injured Players Foundation has been amazing and they still continue to support me to this day.

With everything they do for me and hundreds of other injured players I want to help give back to them and this is the first of many events I will be doing.

Scafell Pike Ascent- 978mts. Saturday 8th June

Scafell Pike is the highest Mountain in England, the route the team will be taking starts from the National trust car park at Wasdale GR NY 182 075.

We plan to climb the mountain via The Brown TongueHollowstones route whichis the standard direct route up.

I will lead the expedition from my cross country all terrain mountain chair with support from friends and family with safety support from Graeme Morrison of GM Mountaineering.

The route is not straight forward and will require great teamwork, determination and strength from all team members as we push, pull and carry me to the top.
