My son Matt undertook this challenge in 2017 and I said that I would join  him in 2018 if he signed up again. So here we are and  I'm taking part in Football to Amsterdam, a two day, 145-mile pedal pilgrimage to the Dutch capital backed by the EFL and the League Managers Association.Prostate cancer is the most common cancer in men. It’s a disease which kills one man every 45 minutes – that’s two men during a football match.This is simply not acceptable but Prostate Cancer UK know that with your help we can turn it around. Time is against us but now is the time to take action, to make this a disease the next generation need not fear.

Now I'm lucky that at this stage of my life I am fit and well. This might not always be the case so I want to  help and make a difference now...... because I can.
