Wolf has a rare condition that randomly affects 1 in 10,000 people in the uk population. It's called Williams syndrome. Williams syndrome (WS) is a genetic condition that is present at birth and can affect anyone. It is characterized by medical problems, including cardiovascular disease, developmental delays, and learning disabilities. These often occur side by side with striking verbal abilities, highly social personalities and an affinity for music.
Wolf had his first major open heart operation at just 3.5 months old. He has since had two more major operations on his stomach and overcome a series of major health problems including a severe form of epilepsy, among others.
Wolf is an amazing little boy who has defied the text books and the medical professionals with his determination to live and thrive. Children like wolf need respite and need a place to feel safe should there ever be a need for end of life care .
