Story
Unfortunately the time has come for me to say goodbye to my hair. This is a decision that I have not taken lightly. (As £1500 worth of laser hair treatment back in 2012 and endless caffine shampoos, conditioners and scalp treatment creams can vouch for!).
I would love the opportunity for this unfortunate plight of mine to bring about some good.
My wife and I have very close family friends who lost both of their own children to a life-limiting neuro-degenerative condition. The charity ‘Thomas’s Fund’ was set up as a result, with the aim of providing music therapy for children and young people with life-limiting illnesses or a disability which, for medical reasons, means they are too ill to attend school for extended periods.
I am raising money at my school and for every £1 a student donates they will receive a raffle ticket that will then go into a bucket/hat/equivalent and three will be picked out. Those three students will then have the chance to shave my head in the school courtyard on Thursday 20th July at lunchtime.
It means a lot to me to be able to raise some money for such a special charity and I hope you can help me do this.
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page and please don't slap my head too hard the next time you see me.
