The orphanage (SOCH), founded by Mr Mwansa and me, has been going now for 14 years, and finally a few of our children have passed Grade 12 and have offers to attend Zambian university or college.
Unfortunately, our two school charities (ZOA in Rome, and SOA in Geneva) cannot commit to ongoing education of the orphans beyond secondary school. They have their hands full meeting the annual running costs of about €40,000.
If we cannot find sponsorship for these 3 people, then they will have to surrender their offers to others.
Nursing is a 5 year course, and costs €1600 per year. We have one young woman who has received this offer for 2019.
Teacher education is a 3 year course and costs about €800 per year. We have one young man and one young woman with offers for 2019.
If you can contribute even with a small donation, then may be we will together find the funds for their first year fees and boarding costs.
