Charity Registration No. SC007856

Thank you for taking the time to visit our Kiehl's Since 1851, Glasgow Flagship Boutique, JustGiving page.

Please help us raise money for this incredible charity by sponsoring Alfie and his friends walk 10K. Alfie is a 10 year old blind Jack Russell who is wheelchair bound due to arthritis. Alfie has not walked for more than 10 minutes since he became disabled over 4 years ago. Not only did this incredible dog learn to navigate his way around life after having his eyes removed due to glycoma but after a further set back of developing arthritis and being unable to use his back legs he adjusted quickly to his wheelchair and continues to live a full and happy life. Alfie LOVES children, his favourite sensation since he became blind is to listen to children playing in the street or being talked to and patted by children, so it seemed perfect that his challenge would be in aid of 'The Glasgow Children's Hospital' where his dream is to become a care dog and become a friend to children who share his disabilities. We will start Alf's journey with a 5K, he has been in strict training for over the last few month. He will be attending Glasgow's Dog Jog at Bellahouston park on Saturday 8th October to mark this. If you see us come over and say hi! His journey will continue and in 12 weeks time we hope to complete his journey by taking him on a 10K walk with his friends who will become his support team!

We at Kiehl's are grateful to be partnering with the Glasgow Children's Hospital this year as one of our philanthropic pillars, and we look forward to supporting this inspirational charity in years to come.

For those of you who are familiar with Kiehl's, Welcome back. For those of you who have never heard of Kiehl's, "Welcome to Kiehl's".

Kiehl's began as a New York apothecary in 1851. For more than 165 years, we have served our customers the finest formulations for skin and hair developed with the most advanced technologies and cutting-edge innovation alongside natural botanicals and extracts.

A lot has changed in our 165 year history, however one thing that stays the same has been our commitment to the betterment of the communities in which we serve our patrons. The three key areas of focus for this are environmental issues, HIV / AIDS research and children's wellbeing. It is with the last pillar in mind that we have found the perfect partnership fit with Glasgow Children's Hospital and their focus on supporting young patients and their families receiving the best possible care and experience during their stay. The Glasgow Children's Hospital sits firmly at the heart of the Royal Hospital for Children in Glasgow. Every year it supports the 160,000 babies, children and young people who are treated at the hospital every year. From Manchester to the Highlands Glasgow Children's Hospital acts as a centre of excellence for care.

We genuinely believe in the power of the next generation and that there are some truly inspirational young people who have the power to make a change. It is for this reason that Kiehl's has chosen to support Glasgow Children's Hospital by providing funding to four exceptional projects- Enhanced Medical Equipment, Family Support Services, Innovative Play Programmes and Paediatric Research.
