The Kiwis Don't Fly Rally Team will be attempting a mammoth journey, from the Orkney Isles of Scotland to the South of India in an unsuitably small hatchback, all in aid of the DEC Ukraine Appeal.

Along the way we will participate in a ridiculous event organised by "The Adventurists", known as the Poles of Inconvenience Rally. On this part of our journey we will attempt to find a number of hard-to-reach checkpoints scattered throughout Europe, alongside a number of equally mad teams, before meeting up at the official finish line in Georgia.

But that's not where our adventure will end. We will then continue on alone, aiming to make it as far east as our little car will take us - crossing the deserts of Iran and the Himalaya of Pakistan, to eventually end up in India.

We have dedicated over two years of research to this adventure, and when the opportunity came up to participate in an expedition organised by "The Adventurist's" along the way we couldn't say no. We happen to think our charity of choice is a pretty special too...

Intense conflict in Ukraine is threatening the lives and livelihoods of civilians across the country, causing millions to flee. Homes have been destroyed. Essential services have been hit. Families have been separated. People have been injured. Lives have been lost. DEC charities and their local partners are in Ukraine and across the border in the neighbouring countries.
